Welcome to Charles' Universe!

I'm 蔡与是 Charles Yushi Cai, a 1st year PhD student advised by Prof. Gabriel Lipkowitz in i3D Lab, Smart Systems Institute at National University of Singapore.

I'm an HCI researcher and (trying to be) a system designer. I’m particularly interested in developing novel experience-oriented systems, to facilitate interaction in 3D contexts, treating each iteration of the system as a test and evolution of the hovering design theory.

During my undergraduate studies, I had the privilege of working with Abdullah Muhammud and Prof. Patrick Baudisch, and I also worked with Prof. Carlo H. Séquin, alongside Vivian Chan and Prof. Eric Paulos.
