Welcome to Charles' Universe!

I'm Charles Yushi Cai 蔡与是, a doctoral student advised by Prof. Gabriel Lipkowitz, with a joint affiliation in Department of Design and Smart Systems Institute at National University of Singapore.

I'm an HCI researcher and (trying to be) a system designer. I’m particularly interested in developing novel experience-oriented systems, to facilitate interaction in 3D contexts, treating each iteration of the system as a test and evolution of the hovering design theory.

I have the privilege of working with Prof. Carlo H. Séquin, alongside Vivian Chan and Prof. Eric Paulos. Previously, I also worked with Abdullah Muhammud and Prof. Patrick Baudisch, as well as Prof. Jeeeun Kim.
