Welcome to Charles' Universe!

I'm 蔡与是 Charles Yushi Cai, a 1st year PhD student advised by Prof. Gabriel Lipkowitz in i3D Lab, Smart Systems Institute at National University of Singapore's College of Design and Engineering.

I'm an HCI researcher and (trying to be) a system designer. I’m particularly interested in developing novel experience-oriented systems, to facilitate interaction in 3D contexts, treating each iteration of the system as a test and evolution of the hovering design theory.

During my undergraduate studies, I had the privilege of working with Abdullah Muhammud and Prof. Patrick Baudisch, and I also worked with Prof. Carlo H. Séquin, alongside Vivian Chan and Prof. Eric Paulos.
